Array ( [sid] => 26560 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Not All Wounds Heal [time] => 2003-11-06 01:15:18 [hometext] => I wrote this poem for everyone that has a problem that you know no one understands. I have scoliosis so I know, and this is how I feel everyday when people say they know what it feels like...I put this under this topic for a reason...you'll see why... [bodytext] => Not All Wounds Heal

You think you know just how I feel,
You say, “In time all wounds will heal.”
But you do not understand this pain,
You tell me I should not complain.

I’m just a child or so you say,
But this pain is present everyday.
I feel so sad and so alone,
More so than you will ever know.

Some days I wish it just weren’t true,
I wish my life would start anew.
I know that I don’t want to die,
But some days I ask God, “Why?”

What did I do to deserve this?
Where in my life have I gone amiss?
So many questions cloud my mind,
If I could, I’d hit rewind.

Maybe looking back on life I’ll see,
What has really happened to me.
Did I do something wrong?
Or did I just ignore you a day too long?

What I did wrong I’ll never know,
For it was probably too long ago.
Whatever I did, I’m sorry for it,
I hope you can forgive me a little bit.

You’ll never understand,
Why I am the way I am.
Sometimes it hurts so much,
Dying would be an angel’s touch.

But like I said,
I don’t want to end up dead.
So please just try to understand me,
Though I realize I cannot make you see.

This is a weight on my shoulders,
That feels like many heavy boulders.
So please don’t say, “Of course I know,”
It only fills me with more sorrow.

I try to deal with my own issues,
But sometimes I need you there with a tissue.
So don’t think for a moment you know how I feel,
‘Cause not all wounds can always heal.

Not All Wounds Heal
