Array ( [sid] => 26492 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Highway To Hell [time] => 2003-11-05 02:16:05 [hometext] => all poems i write are related one way or another to alzheimers, a tragedy all need to be aware of [bodytext] => it has been a long and difficult haul
i have fought all the way and back
moments of fear moments of anger
with no hope in sight my struggles in vain
this highway to hell i travel each day

i am unable to talk anymore but i try
i hardly walk my legs fail to function
eating is such a chore so i drink alot
i am so frightened and ready to go down
this highway to hell i travel each day

there are those who scoff at our plight
they dont understand what we face each day
they would not be on the survivors list
to them we ignore and continue on down
this highway to hell i travel each day

i struggle each day for just one more day
im losing my battle i fear the end is near
it is too hard to go on anymore im tired
please do not mourn my passing im at rest
this highway to hell i traveled each day [comments] => 1 [counter] => 151 [topic] => 39 [informant] => maryetta [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Grief )

Very good work, u've captured your subject so well!
