Every second I’m with her I’m glad I’m alive
The knot in my chest is too painful to bear
I yearn for the warmth and fragrance of her hair
I sit here waiting for the comfort of her touch
To be apart for a day… I miss her so much
I sit here waiting to gaze into her eyes
How strong my love is she will never realize
I sit and wait for the sound of her voice, the innocence of her laugh
Show me the way to her heart. Lead me to the path
I sit and wait to see the sway of her hips as she walks
To feel the softness of her skin, to watch her lips as she talks
I sit and wait for the chance to hold her as mine
Wondering if someday the sun will once again shine
I sit here waiting for her to accept my heart or toss it away
I don’t want it back, after her it’s useless anyway
I sit and wait; she’s the woman of my dreams
No matter what I tell her, she’ll never know how much she means
I sit here waiting though hopes running dry
I wonder, should I be angry or just break down and cry?
I’m all out of words but my thoughts are still flowing
I wonder, when she’s not with me, is her smile still glowing?
Do I occupy here every though as she does to me?
Am I waiting for more pain, will we ever be?
I know I can’t give her everything she deserves though I’ll try
No matter what the future brings I’ll love her till the day I die
I sit and wait each moment like a year
I sit and wait holding back each and every tear
I sit and wait whether right or wrong
It’s her I want, It’s her I love, It’s for her I long
If I wait too long will I lose her respect?
I’ve never felt this kind of love, what does she expect?
I sit and wait because she owns my heart and my soul
If this is the price of her love, I’ll gladly pay the toll
I sit and wait while my heart splits in two
I see her face everywhere I go and in everything I do
I sit and wait till my hearts numb from the pain
It will all be worth it if it’s all of her I gain
I sit and wait because she is my best friend
I only wish I could write “girl” first, with the “friend” at the end
I sit and wait because that’s all I can do
To hear those words from her mouth, “I’m in love with you.”
…I’ll sit and wait
