[hometext] => Most peeps might not understand this one. There is alot of symbolism in it. It's about a long-distance friendship I had for many years.
[bodytext] => Swinging at a piñata That's just not close enough. The blindfold's getting tight, Making it so tough. Without a sound I feel it's near. The swoosh of the bat means I'm almost there. I reach again without success, but It's toying with me with such finesse. I patiently pause, waiting to hear But only in vain, I begin to fear. Now the blindfold's loose, and I turn to face, But not quickly enough - it fell back in place. Speaking so clearly it's calling my name. For such a long time we've been playing this game. We've been so close, yet so far apart; Time and again you've tugged at my heart. Now the blindfold's gone; I feel you touch my hair; But then you knock me down - can I only stare? You're getting to my head, and I long to run and hide. Will I ever reach the prize inside? ~PoeticReign 09/95 [comments] => 0 [counter] => 153 [topic] => 49 [informant] => PoeticReign [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => mystical )
