I'll remember that long ago sight.
Going from door to door
with your little hands held out
repeating your special mantra
to make sure your devil was not left out.
It was his second first
this night, one of your last
no pictures to keep the memory safe
everything lost in the past.
You can never recreate

the remembrance of Halloween
will forever start with a cry. [comments] => 7 [counter] => 160 [topic] => 48 [informant] => jaeann [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )

Oh how sad Jaymee.....it's always the first's that kills you, the first time you went alone on Holloween, the first time, for this and the first time for that. But soon even that disappears with the years...honestly it does Jaymee...just be patient with yourself, and kind too!
Lovely poem, though very sad, and forlorn. I wish I could help you through!

Oh, such an incredible write ... have read it many times ... the emotions it evokes ... I'm so very sorry, but words could not make a dent in your pain ... wonderful poem ... Jan
