A brightly shining star
A silly day dream
A world of insecurities
And I made a special wish.

I wanted a big brother
Someone who'd protect me
Yet supported my strenghts.
Someone who'd encourage me
Yet believed that I have faith.
It seemed like such a silly wish
And yet it has come true.
You ain't supposed to tell your wish
But I guess I can tell you.
Only blood can make a brother
That's just what they say
My wish was plain and simple
And it was just fine that way.
I can make it on my own
But I like to know you're there
In case you need me or I need you
It shows that people care.
Roses could be red
And violets might be blue
But they can't take the place
Of a big brother I never knew.
I made my special wish
And it came true
You're my big brother
And I love you.

A brightly shining star
A silly day dream
