Silent tears stream down my face
As I finally walked away
I dreaded that day, up till the second
But I knew I couldn't stay
You are happier without me
I can tell by the look in your eyes
The desire to be free from my hearts grasp.
But till this day my heart still cries.
So as I walked away
Silent tears ran down my face
I just hoped that, from all the memories we've shared,
No other girl would ever be able to take my place
So this I say now
I still love you with all my heart
But I want to see you smile
Even if it breaks me apart

| I have been here before. I let someone go because I was afraid I was pulling him down by my depression. I loved him so deeply and still do, and I miss him so much. The pain will fade my friend, but the memories will not. A very deep, emotional write. It ust have been very hard to write this. Hold your head up high. |
