dripping into a bucket from the roof,
a gentle steady soothing music
earth life's continuous proof,

it is peaceful, somewhat chilly
a quiet and reflective moment,
mists as far as the eye can see
now before me, mood is set,

my life as i have lived it so far
i sit, think of all the many things,
that brought me to this place right now
and happiness my loved ones bring,

i loose my train of thoughts
as cat, curious, tips the rainwater,
me, walking over to pick it up and
watching as he gets that put out wet cat look,

our toes both squish, and my foot
now soaking and cold, i smiled,
picking up dante, our orange and white cat,
he lets me hold him close a while,

he purrs as rain pelts down outside
safe in my arms, then he goes to the table,
stealing my daughters chocolate cookies
munching away while he is able,

raining down in torrents, all goes dark
everything has become a cave of cozy,
height of the storm now, how bizarre,
here peeks through the sun, all rosey,

here i sit again, listening to the rain
dripping into bucket uprighted once more,
gentle mellow peaceful sounds on the roof
my earth life's continuous proof.

You sit with cat and spilt bucket
Thoughts all grande and well founded
Be careful my cookie when writing this punet
For a computer and wet floor is sad proof when grounded.

I'd feel just like that,
But I am a man
Please, hold me like that..
