Magnificent new heights
The art of verbosity and the loss of the short
Who's to know which one is right?

Diction is one thing
Aesthetic power
The gift to convey the scenes in your head
Sweet, bitter or sour

Is it a battle to overwhelm?
Or a subtle entreaty?
Is it a simple haiku
Or a sermon to the needy?

Is rythm important?
Do we need rhyme?
As a poet i question
As i read line after line

Freedom is given
But how far should we stray?
Is there a line that we cannot cross?
Lest the meanings within give way?

Is an essay in stanzas a narrative poem?
Or is it a work with crude, choppy end?
What do you call grace as you stare in the face
Of words and lines that don't blend? [comments] => 5 [counter] => 202 [topic] => 46 [informant] => EternitysLyre [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => didactic )

I like your sense of irony, questioning the writing of poems with a poem. You'll be getting more comments from me: I like what I've read so far.

Another one that kinda caught me off guard--I agree with the sentiment wholeheartedly. Well written, conveyed clearly...as with the rest of your work, this is damn good too.

Truly,
-V.S.
