June 5th 2002

I wrote this after getting a “You weren’t born in a barn!” speech from my mom the last time I went home for a visit. I left a small copy on my bed for my mom to see!! I don’t possess all of these lovely qualities, but I’ll let you imagine what you want!

I’ve tried standing to pee
I don’t like high shoes
I can handle my booze
I have a kind heart
Want to hear my fart
I am sensitive and cry
Take my food…I wouldn’t try
Your jeans I patch
My butt I scratch
Makeup and pearls
Just one of the girls
I won’t pass mom’s test
I belch like the best

Mom says I lack couth
Ain’t that the truth
These womanly features
Moms are the best teachers

Another vintage L J poem. I`ve always loved this payful, free spirit side of you L J. I`ve also tried standing to pee.....it`s no big deal. Thumb

my mom has called me a barbarian! so I know how you feel. I liked this poem! Thank you for sharing it
