Dust filled bookshelves line your walls
Blue shag carpet warms your feet
No longer can you see through the old crepid glass
Spiders inhabit all dark and eerie places
A child crouches silently under a beaten kitchen table
Playing hide and seek with roaming siblings
The aroma of cinamon caressing the air
Topped off with a hint of mildew coming up from the basement
Pairs of eyes line your walls
Closed tightly within the wooden frames around them
A pretty red marble mixed in with don't touch keepsakes
Mixed up dishes overfill kitchen cupboards
Snuggly afghan laid to rest upon your bed
Always can you find the tissues in the bathroom
Warm, peaceful lap reclined in a maroon chair
Never will a memory be passed by
When we take a visit to Grandma's house... [comments] => 3 [counter] => 257 [topic] => 25 [informant] => Lia [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => MiscPoems )
