[bodytext] => The moon shimmers The stars glisten on the tears That stream steadily Down her face Each jagged tear telling a story of what used to be She never knew she could feel this way Never knew that misery wanted her youthful company Never knew what it was like to feel so all alone She never knew what it was like to be invisible, until now Didn’t know what it was like to wander endlessly down a road That doesn’t seem to have an end Now she’s just merely surviving on false hope Sometimes she wonders what made Everything go so wrong When she lost the sparkle in her eyes along with The laughter in her heart She doesn’t smile as much as she used to Never knew that she could run so far, so fast Away from what’s chasing after her And moon glistens and stars shimmer Her tears sparkle in the dark Misery’s biting at her heels and Melancholy’s creeping up She keeps running And the tears keep coming and glow Eerily in the darkness of it all.
