Array ( [sid] => 25374 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Rainbow [time] => 2003-10-20 09:42:57 [hometext] => this is probably the last poem i am ever going to submit...your-poetry is something i needed very much at a certain point in my life, but i think that chapter is over now. i just wanted to say thankyou to everybody that helped me, it means the world to me [bodytext] => I almost lost myself to the pain in me, forgot who I could be,
Surrounded myself in my black cloak, and didn’t know anyone could love me -
I know that sometimes life can break you more than words can say,
And I know it hurts, but please listen, it doesn’t have to end this way,
Things, they can slowly change, and hurtful feelings fade away,
Please be brave, I know that one day, it’ll all be beautiful again.

Close your eyes and listen to my words, because I’ve been there,
Open your mind and let yourself be heard, follow your dreams there,
Don’t let go because you’re scared and unsure,
Hold on, with all your strength, because one day it won’t hurt anymore;
You’ll lie under the stars and hear the beautiful oceans moan,
And at that moment, you’ll know your hearts finally made its way home.

There are days when I just can’t understand and want to end it all
But there’s a web of promises that catch me every time I fall.
Let me give you something now, open your heart and you’ll feel,
That I am always here to help you whenever you need time to heal -
You see I’ve numbed my hurt, and it’s slowly drifting away,
And I owe so many people, so much, for me being here today.

And before you go, please think of all the things you’ll leave behind,
Feel the rain on your skin, and lose yourself in your mind.
Hold on to those special sunbeams and souls, never let go,
Breathe in the gentle rays of your beautiful rainbow
And fight it, because it’s all so worth it, all the hurt and pain -
I don’t know how to explain, but you’ll see the sun again.
See life is a beautiful gift, and I won’t tell you how to live it,
Just remind you that I know how hard it can get,
But I’m still here, and I think I survived
And it feels so good to be alive…

thankyou

Everything you write is exceptional, and this is no... well, exception... lol. This is amazing. I'm so jealous! But seriously, do whatever makes you happy. I'm so glad I met you through this site. And I know that for every chapter that ends, a new one must begin, and I sincerely hope that your next chapter is full of pretty rainbows. :D This write is truly inspirational, and every line is gorgeous. I hope you'll still continue to write, even if you don't post here anymore, because your talent shouldn't ever go to waste. Just keep feeling happy to be alive. You deserve that feeling.

After reading this I almost cried for a number reasons the first being that this is the last poem your gonna submit here the second being that I felt what u write so deeply and lastly because you bared your heart and made yourself so vulnerable to all of us.
I can't see enough about what u write Lucie and i think you know that, but I must say this was beautiful and I must thank you for being my friend and holding my hand through the darkness your a great poet and a great friend and I can't emphasize that enough. You'll always be in my heart.

Love you,
Joel

i don't want to echo what everyone else has said because i can't claim to know you as they do. all i can say is that this is a truly uplifting poem and i'm glad your attitude is so positive. i've always enjoyed your words.

Wishing you the best of luck in all you do, Kate x

This is the first poem of yours I have read, but it tells me that you are very talented. I hope you do not quit writing. When you get to the happy spot in your life (that you seem to be at) you can find even more things to write about. I know I did. Whatever you decide I wish you the best of luck!

Lucie, i don't really know what to write. This poem was beautiful, inspiring, and so emotional. What i will say is how lucky i am to be able to love you like you know i do. I'm proud of you for coming through this, and i know that sometimes, all your hard work might seem to be in vain, but remember how far you have come, and remember that i will be here for you, right next to you every single step of the way. You are a wonderful person Lucie, truely unique, and i'm so grateful to know you the way i do. Love forever, EmilyxXx
