around us, all the time, 'heaven sent!'
The lights are old, their stories told
but distance has mangled their lives.
Once bright and bold, they travelled the cold
of the inky night, to reach my eyes.

Pin pricks on the dark blank paper
as if a light were being shon through,
the theories can be disproved later
for now I'll hold them as true!

The wonder that they must have caused
before we knew what we do now.
Time must have seemed to have paused
each time the sun went down.

We try to guess what they are,
the name we came up with is 'star'.
There's not just one, but billions up there
but unfortunately only visible at night.
and they aren't just for one, but for all to share.
the beautiful, shimmering, bright white light. [comments] => 2 [counter] => 204 [topic] => 25 [informant] => Dreama [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => MiscPoems )

A simply written poem about something i enjoy. You let the world know what they're missing when they're not star gazing. Good to see you writing again, Kate x
