Array ( [sid] => 25332 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => A New Friend [time] => 2003-10-19 09:54:52 [hometext] => This was written for a special friend who changed my life, and this was the best way I could think of to say thankyou. [bodytext] =>

Did you ever make a wish?
I made a wish on a rainy night.
Was it for a special friend?
It was for a special friend-a very special kind of a friend.
A person who could care for you?
And understand what my life is like.
Someone with common interests?
And someone who seems to trust me.
Tell me about it?

I met a person who helped me belong
And treated my friendship like it was made out of glass.
A sweet wonderful person with deep blue eyes
And a great personality to match
Who made my confidence increase in size
Giving the hole in my soul a needed patch.

I'll never ever be truly vain
But I feel as though I'll never have pain.
Like the great pal's jokes that make me smile
A new friend's faith will hold awhile.

No pain in my soul,no pain in my heart
Nothing will tear my life apart.
Like the sweet big brother I hold so dear
A new friend's confort will always be near.
