gets washed away with the rain
dark clouds cover this earth
in the end, what is it all worth?

I guess the content never lasts long
again I feel like my life is all wrong
it gets darker, though its day
once again, things didn't turn out my way

a sense of loneliness fills the heart
a feeling of darkness begins to start
my world is turned upside down
as I see the King of darkness with his crown

the earth trembles under my feet
I'm sweating and dying from the heat
fires surround me from everywhere
but I'm calm, just a feeling of despair

I watch others fall into this dreaded place
it tears them apart, burns the face
as my body catches fire
the sense of grief escalates higher

the pain and anguish I cannot feel
though its not a dream, its for real
what have I done? I couldn't tell

happiness dies away again
gets washed away with the rain

Excellent write. I love your style. You have captured these feelings perfectly. God, much better then the crap I wrote in high school. LOL
