From the mist his spirit appears,as if a dream unto the night
And before the sorrow nears,he steps into the light
There in spirit to shelter us,from the shadows in the dark
Is the one known as protector, catcher of all hearts

Should your soul be wearied,if you needed nearness when alone
Beside you he will walk, and guide your way back home
Giving without thinking, because this is the way
Holding without smothering, and wise the words he says

A mile is a moment,just a whisper throughout time
One call and he'll be there, protecting yours and his and mine
With an ever watchful eye, like an eagle to the nest
He'll enfold you in his wings, and lay your fears to rest

Find comfort in his being,he will set your spirit free
Selfless and sacrificial,he'll give with love and honesty
There in spirit to shelter us,from the shadows in the dark
Is the one known as protector, catcher of all hearts
