On the island of our dreams we'd share a glass of wine or two
We'd look up to a sky filled with stars on a cloudless and beautiful night
I'd write your name upon the sand for the morning light to find

Kicking off our shoes we'd run through the dark over miles of soft golden sand
You could sleep in my arms by the glow of the moon
I would gladly be the pillow to rest your weary head
I would kiss your cheek gently, lift the hair from your face
As you woke from a wonderous dream
With enchanting eyes you would look so deep into mine

By a faint harbour light we'd see fishing boats sway as the waves ran their path to the shore
Time would be meaningless, minutes passing into hours would not matter here
There would always be tomorrow
In the distance flamenco song shivers the silence
A story of passion in rythm and dance
Notes plucked so skilfully, melody freed on the strings of a lonely guitar.
Through the old cobbled streets past the dimly lit bars
We would walk hand in hand, our thoughts shared as one
Inspired at the joy of this world we have found.
On the far edge of town the old man with his brushes
Would paint me a picture of you
As the light from his lamp flickers and dies
The warmth of your smile would be frozen in time

Each day I will watch the passing of tides
Two places at my table I will set
A red rose on your pillow lies, soft petals of vibrant red
I pray that you will come to me, smile and share the dream with me
