but, i'll love you for awhile
i won't lie, this love will die
i'll lose interest after awhile

i won't love you more than everything
but, i'll favor you over most
until you draw from me, only apathy
and our love becomes another ghost

and you might as well know
i won't die for you
but, if it'll save my ass
i'll lie to you

this is an ordinary love
i've got no b.s. to sell
you're not that great, but you're ok
if you don't like it,...oh well

when you cry over something stupid
i can't promise that i'll care
or that i'll notice your new blue dress
or the new way you fixed your hair

i don't love you for your mind
from the neck up, you're dead to me
but, you're decent looking
and you laugh at my jokes
and that's all i really need

don't ask me if
she's better looking than you
cuz i don't care enough
to not tell you the truth

and if you start to nag too much
or you just get in my way
i'll drop in a heartbeat
and have someone better
by the end of the day

this is an ordinary love
i've got no b.s. to sell
you're not that great, but you're ok
if you don't like it,...oh well

if you want someone to call you "princess"
then go back home to your dad
but, if you're looking for someone
to call you "hey you"
then, baby, i'm your man

i guess you've got the point by now
you don't mean that much to me
i'll still say "i love you"
but, i won't care if you believe

but, in case you're still a bit confused
let me break it down, you ditz
i will, sorta, love you
'til i find a girl with bigger...

this is an ordinary love
i've got no b.s. to sell
i guess that you will do, for now
if you don't like it, go to hell [comments] => 5 [counter] => 181 [topic] => 7 [informant] => Cancer [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => HumorPoetry )

this made me smile in a jaded humour sort of way - its surface-funny but, like the title says, its sad but true. this is a song sung far too often. excellent write, Kate x
