What did I ever do?
I try to be perfect
I try to be nice
Everything I do just seems wrong
I turn left but the world says right
No longer can I be bothered putting up a fight
I hear their laughs at my expense
But they don’t see my tears
Behind this smiling face is a past
Nobody realises how hard it has been
Sometimes my smile cant hide my tears
My laughs cant drown the hate
This world is full of problems
People being the biggest
Actions speak louder than words
But words hurt more
Im sinking in quicksand filled with anger
Desperately trying to catch a breath
Gasping I scream for help
This world only stares
Watching me sink
Like a submarine submerged
Im sinking
But I wont surrender

Oh I can relate to this...I often feel as though I am in quicksand and that the world is against me, but you have to remember that it can only go uphill from where you are. I wish you joy and happiness..

I feel a lot like this at times and I find myself repeating those last two lines. 'I'm sinking, but i won't surrender.' Powerful yet sad write.

Very powerfull message! Keep in mind 'What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger'. Hang in there everything will work out for the best, whatever that may be. Great Poem!!!
