Say to yourself in the morning.
Could’ve been jumped in the midnight alley.
Give to yourself quite a warning.

Buy your place in the lottery drawing.
Say to yourself that same morning.
Walk to the store, buy your place in the drawing.
Kiss for good luck in the morning.

Drive off to work on a Monday morning.
Things couldn’t be more grand.
Go get a raise on this Monday morning.
Go on to your work-land.

NONSPECIFIC argentina,
That’s just who I am.
NONSPECIFIC argentina,
Go on to your work-land.

Three hours up, take a break for some coffee.
Read the morning news.
See who has died, who was born, who got married,
Social attitudes.

I’m feeling hungry, I need to eat,
Grab a soybean energy bar.
No time for real food to microwave,
Just a shelf life energy bar.

Run off some copies, then go to lunch.
Got a meeting with the big boss.
I’ll get a raise and a promotion,
While my best friend’s job is lost.

NONSPECIFIC argentina,
That’s just who I am.
NONSPECIFIC argentina,
Isn’t my life grand.

Go home from work and return to the dull,
Grab a burger on the way home.
Open a can full of chunks of “beef”.
For the dog you left alone.

You’re going out, have a date to a party,
For your promotion.
Go, lock the door, and be sure there’s a light.
Once again your dog’s all alone.

Go to the party with your wife
Who lives five hours away.
Go and get drunk, get obscene, get a life,
Get your child and go play.

NONCOMMITTAL argentina,
Change your point of view.
NONCOMMITTAL argentina,
Killing yourself too. [comments] => 1 [counter] => 182 [topic] => 34 [informant] => Butterat_Zool [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => SongLyrics )
