[title] => Surfacing Through the Riptide of Life
[time] => 2003-10-10 21:01:01
[hometext] => The poem may come off as a little choppy, I dunno.
[bodytext] => Pulling me under This riptide of life I struggle, I curse, I sacrifice And swim against all I abhor Head above water Greedily sucking in air Cold waves crash over, almost to much to bare Knowing what the water draws at me for Dragging me under No Savior in sight Struggling to breathe, softly fades the light My essence feels drained and sore Heartbeat slowing Vision becoming clouded Tendons popping, eyes now shrouded The riptide is giving me a ravaging tour Break for the surface In this ocean where I've been banished Coherent thought has all but vanished Instinct forces me to break for the surface once more.
