Just leave me be, just leave me
For dead, but instead
You make me keep this God awful pulse
While all the pain is going to my head
White and red, white and red
You ran away and I bled
Stop this pity he said
Your pathetic little head
Knows very well I loved you
Admit you know it's true
You very well know it's true
Are those scars suppose to impress?
Cutting yourselfs the only way to address?
I can see it plain and simple, no need to confess
For the scars run up your arms and the blood drips down your dress
So is that your game he says
You think you got to bleed?
Self-harm's the only way to prove what you need?
Well guess what- I need you...to let me be.
So I'll grab your rusty blade
And introduce it to my vein
So then I'll know your game
So then I'll know your pain
Watch me cut and bleed
Is this what you need?
No, not enough, I'll go deep
Watch me cut and the blood seep
Watch me bleed for your closure
Watch me bleed so you can sleep
Because I feel for you no longer
You want me to feel as you do
So I'll just turn to the blood
That rushes through my veins true blue.
And she sees him on his knees
The blade cutting his fragile arm
A tear runs down her face
No my love, don't harm
It's too late for that dear...
He slices his arm down to his fingertips
He watches the skin peel away
He watches the blood as it drips
Have I impressed you now love?
I too can bleed
Is that what you need?
Well take my blood as proof
And seal it in a case
She knows no words to say
How quickly her heart does pace
Mends his wounds and tells him
There's now another way
You can leave now
I'm okay
Okay? That's all you have to say?
You don't need me anymore?
You don't want me to stay?
She says "No you can leave
And I'll be just fine
For your blood is impure
Your blood is not truly mine.
We're done and I need
To understand that its not like before
For I cannot bleed for a love
Who doesn't feel for me anymore."

Deep, emotional, and truly beautiful. It's been a while since I have read one of your poems and since I've talked to you. This poem really touched me in a weird sorta way lol. Anyway, great poem, very well written.
