Love a poet, like an aunt.
By which I mean an aunt's oh kay
She's not a girlfriend, I would say.

But still the feeling could be close,
It's not hot love, that would be gross,
But close is close, I'll not define,
A feeling that will light and shine.

There are some girls on poet's site,
There are some guys who strike me bright,
Take them both, they're nice to know,
Makes life better, makes life glow.

When I say girl, when I say guy,
their age could be o'er sixty fi'
The other end if you should delve,
Could come way up to ripe old twelve.

Right here I'm going to set you straight,
Don't misunderstand 'cause that I'd hate,
If they write poems that turn me on,
Their age doesn't mean a pound of yarn.

So come on ancients and come on kids,
You poetize, I'll love your bids,
Pick your subject, that's yours to do,
If yours I like, I'll love you, too. I fail to see just why you can't
Love a poet, like an aunt.
