Array ( [sid] => 24478 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => reflection [time] => 2003-10-06 04:45:00 [hometext] => he has seen her eyes, fallen into their depths, kissed her warm lips, and breathed her breath... [bodytext] => his life was safe and organized
until she wrecked his heart n' head
left tomatoes on his counter
mucked the sheets up in the bed,

when his life was nicely fitted
he never thought about these things
those sheets now freshly washed
he longs the happiness she brings,

now the poor man's life's in ruins
the place she sat, now where he sits
left him love's air when she had to go
on lonely veranda he contemplates,

he eats a can of sardines one at a time
thinks about the things she left behind
her roast that filled the air devine
he says "i know loves really mine"

her essence lingers everywhere
he smells her purfume on forgotten shirt
wants to run his fingers through her hair
he's missing her, and ooooo it hurts,

what to do with her, he wonders
as he sits n' paces thinking about his life
if a million dollars fell from the sky
this day he'd make her his wife,

the whole damn bed seems empty
and his world now empty as well
whatever shall he do?
organizing tomatoes alone is hell.

The kitchen now reorganised
The bathroom mat now dry
I walk around so sanitised
And ask myself "Now why ? "

My daily life now empty
One thing left that tempts me
Why not visit this dear lady
On her farmstead so slow and lazy
Reorganise her children, to think my way instead
And place those red tomatoes, right inside her bed.

You know, it's so true the way all those little things you never really think about suddenly become so different after you do them with *someone* and then find yourself doing them alone again... it's kinda strange. This is so adorable, I just wanna pinch both your cheeks if I could... lol. Way to whip him with your charms! ;)

We have to wonder now how to think,
is it love or maybe just the kitchen sink?
A man can become, confused and real dumb,
figuring out the totals and sums.

Is she do, Is she don't, it's a flip of a dime,
Like pulling petals from a daisy in time,
If your life's on go, take a shot, sir Bongo,
And marry and hope and put it in rhyme.....
