i roam
on the road
with no known home
to direct my stroll toward

no peace
for me
feared and hated
yet entrancing
a beast of vice and violation
innocence
undressed
like a defenseless child
fearing further penetration

mortality
abandoned
left hollow and empty
like my grave 'neath the moonlight

sweet blood
i crave
as i exchange my own
to acquire new slaves

beyond
the hand of death
silently stalk, like a blood fed hawk
perched on the edge of your final breath

return
by dawn
lest my eternal beauty
be scalded by sunlight
not depraved
nor insane
merely haunted by the hollow cry
of desperation in chains

i lay, forlorn
wishing to remember
forgotten loves
and the mortal's clumsy flesh press
sweaty embraces
and lust
long gone
how i long
for one last coupling
with a young maiden
fair-skinned
entrance laden with the dew of passion
beckoning me in

nighttime
once more i rise
to take to the skies
and resume my hunt
your face
so much like hers
that your final drop falls from my lips
like love hell-bent for loss [comments] => 6 [counter] => 353 [topic] => 13 [informant] => Cancer [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )
