And I am ashamed
For actions were leaked that cannot be erased.
Words of compassion clearly spoken,
Emotions expressed however not truly felt
Yet they spilled from my mind
And exploded from my fingers
Onto a screen for a stranger to gaze upon
Not once,
But twice,
And I wronged
And I am ashamed.

I have deceived
And I am worthless
For I took on a character unlike me,
Exposed myself as a slut of society,
Became the harlot that exists only in dreams.
Yet my character was so easily portrayed.
Dancing around within an instant message window
Stretched out for an acquaintance to dreamily touch
Not once,
But twice,
And I deceived
And I am worthless.

I have lost
And I am alone
For I told my tale to give way of gilt,
To rest the heavy burden left asleep on my mind.
Hoping to right what I had so deceivingly wronged.
Yet the words I spoke held no trace of remorse.
Spilling through cables of plastic telephone wire
To my lover who sat and cried with me
Not once,
But twice,
And I lost
And I am alone.
