Livin’ in her life, just one big lie
Her demeanours a disgrace
Smile’s gone, whats left is only anger
Theres no wheres to run to anymore
Its time to face the torment
Moms livin’ her teenaged daughter’s life
Shes not good enough for her dad
One mistake made that’s all it took
To be that one mistake for the rest of her life
Friends all left a long time ago
Her trust is gone
Her heart’s been broken just one to many times
No more tears to cry
Just cryin’ out in rage
She tries and all she’s ever able to accomplish
Is findin’ that emptiness that’s left inside
Theres a fear that’s being smothered
Cause she can’t let her feelings show anymore
Theres a road ahead that has no end
Theres a look in her eyes that’s reaching out to a stranger
But they only see whats on the surface
A surface, full of false hope, and fading light
Each day goes by, she loses another part of herself
All she wants is someone to reach out tell her they’re
gonna be there for life
Another lie to keep her close,
Just one more promise made by misery

Am sure we've all felt this in a way, or at least dealt with someone of the same manor. Nice piece.

"One mistake made, that’s all it took to be that one mistake for the rest of her life, friends all left a long time ago" - How right is that first line there and the friend part isn't that so sad, they shouldn't be called your friends if they are just going to leave you when you need them. I feel this poem, it was Very sad to which I can relate. Thanks for sharing. Take Care.
Emma.
