You definitely took your time, today.
Actually you never came, but my mind was clear.
Nothing had happened to you I didn’t fear.
But you were ages and you were hardly ever late.
But I stayed, a promise to you to wait.
Hours went by and I was still out there.
You were just telling me yesterday that we were a good pair.
You were a no show today, so I wandered back alone.
I wondered where were you if you were not home?

Tears may fall because you were someone to me.
And you made me believe I was someone to you.
It doesn’t matter about the world you said it’s just us two.
So when you killed yourself, you also killed me.
I still wait patiently next to our now fallen tree.
And I uncontrollably kicked the brown rotten ground.
Once again I walk home without you around.
Thoughts of us now with bloodshot eyes and dirty nails,
All those people in black, standing up to tell some of your tales.
I sat there cold, anger, pain and denial swarming in my head.
I want to be just like you, cold, worthless and dead.
But that is how I felt that minute, the minute you went away,
Oh but I am going to feel like that every minute of every day.
Tears pour down my face, rich blood red.
You left my heart rusted and heavy just like lead.
I face every single day that you left me with why?
I don’t understand you never ever told me that you wanted to die.
I stand where I last saw you laugh, where I last touched you.
Memories of our past, I stabbed at my wrist to find the pain I knew.
This blood I don’t recognise, for it is not mine any more.
I cry this blood for you, it is yours too as it drips to the floor.
Why did you leave me? Why didn’t you at least say good-bye?
You left me in this empty world with nothing to do but cry.

you brought me to tears...no one knows why they leave like they do...yes selfish ....always wonder if we could had said something to them.but they dont give us a chance.sorry you had to go through this.time will heal.another will come along.but the most important thing you can do is never do this to anyone like she did to you..my prayers go out to you...those who mourn will be comforted.the bible says...look to him my friend he can bring you peace and joy again..you deserve to be happy.keep in touch....sandy

A masterpiece. Tears fell to cold ground as I read this. It is a shame that this poem had to come about through tragedy, and I'm always here for you. Great Poem! A true talent.

wow I'm in awe if only people who commit suicide would realize people care. This was amazing. I love the brutal imagery you convey in this poem.

WOW THIS TOUCHED ME. I COULD SAY THIS IS SELFISHLY.
I DON'T KNOW WHY THEY LEAVE ? MAYBE ONE DAY YOU GUYS CAN MET AGAIN. JUST THINK ABOUT THE GOOD TIMES MAYBE THEY DIDN'T SAY NOTHING CAUSE THEY DIDN'T WANT YOU TO REMEMBER THEM BY THAT.
