I couldn’t bare to hear your voice, so I wrote mine instead.
This is to let you know how I really feel,
That I was the one who got the wrong end of the deal.

Now I just have to get the courage to send it to you.
For the state of my happiness has been long overdue.
So I put the letter in an envelope and write your name.
I’m hoping that when I send it, it will take some of my pain.

A week has passed and I see the letter, it’s still there.
I’m going to send it I tell myself, this I swear.
So without another thought I picked it up and it got sent.
In that letter was my heart and soul and what our friendship meant.

I do not know if I will ever hear from you again,
But I don’t really know if I want to.
I hope you are proud of what you stole,
You took the biggest part of me…my soul.

I wrote a letter to the guy who screwed my life up. When I sent it he told me he just threw it out and didn't bother reading it, that showed me that I really meant nothing to him. Anyway another great write

This is such a powerful and compelling poem. I was overwhelmed. Take care.
