[bodytext] => Who would have thought, that on the day we met? It would be a day either one of us will ever forget. As I was walking down the street one brisk Autumn day, I came upon an Elderly Woman........ She was sitting alone on a park bench Having nothing to say. She had this distant look in her eyes. As I came closer, tears started to fall, as she began to cry. I asked her "Mam....are you alright, is there anything I can do?" She said "Yes, please sit down, I would like to talk to you." She cleared her throat, then began to speak, "How nice of you to talk to me, you are so very kind." "All I want is a good friend, and they're hard to find." The friends I use to have, they've all passed on, you see. So somedays I come here and sit, hoping someone will talk to me. I see all kinds of people passing by.......... You're the only one who's seen tears falling from my eyes. The rest are all so busy with their own lives, To busy to notice an Old Lady like me. I said to her, please don't cry, you can talk to me. I told her being alone is lonesome, that I can't deny, How do you know, she asked? I said, because I'm all alone too. You know, we were destined to meet, God sent me to you. Two lonely heart s again made whole............ She looked at me and said, You know I' much older than you! I looked at her and wiped her tears away, Took her hand and said, I'm glad I took this walk today. Because I've found a friend, and you've found a friend, Friends for all Seasons. She looked at me with the biggest smile, Took my hand and said, my dear today we've truly been blessed........................ All things happen for a reason. Two Broken Hearts Made Whole! ~Gloria E.
