Array ( [sid] => 23791 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => Twisted Love (Make Me Insane) [time] => 2003-09-25 10:25:00 [hometext] => Only parts of this are what could be called sarcastic, but I figured I'd put it under sarcastic poetry anyway. Doesn't really fit quite right anywhere. I had a really hard time coming up with a title for this, and ending it as well. Quite a frustrating write, overall, so I'm not sure it's all that good. Let me know what you think. [bodytext] => I love the smile upon your face
I love the way you hold my hand
I love the way I fell from grace
I love the way you never understand

I hate it when you yell at me
I hate the words you always say
I hate you when you're angry
I hate it when you go away

I love the way you laugh at me
I love it when you say "shut up"
I love it when I beg and plead
For you to please not break us up

I hate it when you say you'll propose
I hate it when you miss me more
I hate it when my heart's exposed
I hate the way you keep me wanting more

I love every single fight
I love it when you try to change me
I love waiting for you every night
I love the pain you make me feel

I hate the way you kiss my neck
I hate the things you whisper in my ear
I hate your goddamn intellect
I hate it when you're so sincere

I love it when I hurt
I love it when I cry
I love to feel like dirt
I love to turn my back and lie

I hate feeling so secure
I hate the promises you make
I hate being so sure
I hate the hours of love we make

Who am I kidding?
I love everything about you
I'm so completely smitten
I almost wish I could hate you
You drive me up the wall
And back again
You make me insane and I crawl
You bring me me to my feet and then
You do it all over again

I constantly lose my mind over you
And I love it
I love the awful things you put me through
Don't ever stop

i thought this was a great poem and think that the person who left a comment above me should rethink...obviously you have been upset but moonlit evidently did it totally unintentionally by just creating a lovely, brilliant poem! she may not be christian, she may be, just let her write her poetry in peace!

sorry for getting on my high horses, just wanted to defend you as i saw the comment as silly and a little pointless...i loved the poem...its so easy to hate the people that love you the most but your poem proved that wrong
"I constantly lose my mind over you
And I love it" this sounds like a crazy kinda love girl, good luck and enjoy it! xxx

dearest dee for me this poem was a little confusing til i reached the ending, which was lovely; but i am writing mostly a reply to the annon guest who doesnt have the balls to sign their name after saying such rude things to you, unacceptable, totally unacceptable!
love n' hugs nessa

to guest: if you dont like her poems do not read them, no one is twisting your arm behind your back, moonlitangel is a sweetie and a very talented writer who does not need your annoying comments, bye

I usually like your poems Moonlit... but this?
I think you could do much better..

"I love it when I hurt
I love it when I cry
I love to feel like dirt
I love to turn my back and lie"

"I love every single fight
I love it when you try to change me
I love waiting for you every night
I love the pain you make me feel"

as sarcastic as those stanzas may be you're just putting yourself down... and it makes you look bad, although I don't agree with the AC on here... I could see why he/she described it as crude. Remember that on here we cannot hear the inflections to tell us if something is sarcastic.

Hi Moonlit, I don't think you deserved that remark from that AC.. I always say, if you don't like someone's work, don't read/comment..

Now, you know I have always loved your work and been one of your biggest fans from day one.. However, this piece is the FIRST piece that I didn't particularly enjoy. (but that's just me) and it does not mean that it isn't good.

So keep them coming.... Hugs always,
Jenni

I really like the contrast back and forth with the love and hate and then tying up all the loose ends at the end. Well done.

well despite wat anyone else says this was a
very enjoyable write. As for those who actually
bag the poem lets read one of yours before
you start knocking others. One thing to have
an opinion, another to just talk *****. Also as a
proud atheist i find it insulting to tell someone
how they can and cannot speak, i respect
wat u believe so respect that others do not
believe. All in all very good write, i know that
feeling all too well.
