i can't help but look away.
this way took our meeting out drawn out again
look elsewhere, when it's ending,
and avoid all the goodbyes.
promise myself never again will i lie.

what's the grace of you firsthand
when you walk out and take it back?
and all these words stumble on your face.
where's the place of my wristband
when i'm just another on the stack?
and all these words stumble on your face.

my adieu to you i go through with it
thank you.
despondent, while i brought this on myself
and i'll go back down into my cave.
feel my feet sink quicksand
oh but i'm safe.

you ask once more, what's wrong with me
and you just asked to know the soul of me

what's the grace of you firsthand
when you want to take it back?
and all these words stumble on your face.
where's the place of my wristband
when you just toss me on the stack?
and all these words stumble on your face.

oh you think it's just fine
and you can just walk
in and out of my life as you please.
dig and ask and you'll find
that i may now talk
but when you leave i'm ill at ease.

i'm a caseload you're never going to solve
and this face chose to have the sort of resolve
set the pace, no you can't make that call
not your place, so you can walk out like them all

what's the grace of you firsthand?
you take it back.
and all these words stumble on your face.
where's the place of my wristband?
i'm on the stack.
and all these words stumble on your face.

Awww Danny, I knew this was coming and it still kinda shocked me... I know that for me this place won't be the same without your writings. Even with your decision to leave here this better not be your last poem or song or I may just have to -- umm, never mind we'll be in touch. :)

Dani

A poet who quits is to me just the 'pitz'
To just you sit watching world passing by,
Is to me, just the bee, who honey does make,
Not for the bee's humble sake just you take.
