Never thinking for a moment, how could this ever truly be
Caught up in the happiness, that embraced their lonely souls
Two lovers built an impossible dream, but distance took its toll" [bodytext] => As time undresses, then sets to bathe, the wounds my heart will know
My mind will wander aimlessly, through the rivers of eternal sorrow
As the layers shed and fall away,I may disappear, fade out of sight
For fate has dealt its playing cards, darkened our tomorrows hopeful light

Dreams we had were impossible, still hope had held her yearning breath
Black was cast aside for rainbows, only to rise again from faking death
I will spend so many moments, walking through these ghostly halls
Never truly understanding, how so far our gorgeous dream could fall

Many flowing rivers, mountains high and still with strength we clung
We thought nothing in the world, could bring all our dreams undone
Not counting on the one thing, that we knew all along was there
The one thing that could ruin us,turn our dreams into despair

Over the many distant miles, two hearts called across the sea
Never thinking for a moment, how could this ever truly be
Caught up in the happiness, that embraced their lonely souls
Two lovers built an impossible dream, but distance took its toll

Love and all its wonders, had us held captive in its magical spell
Now all that shimmered and gave feedom,is in pieces where it fell
Still the love between us,is and will be for all time.......
I'll never regret a moment, that I dreamed this dream of yours and mine

I've been asked 1,000,000 times
What can I do with a computer?,
If these folks had taken that tack
There'd be no poem to root for.

Maybe the end result's the same
but the adventure was a wonder
No one's fault it ended so
No one caused a blunder

As the saying has been told
Goes the cookie, so it rolled...

Love knows no borders
Cannot be restricted by land or sea
Love ends not at seperation
Either now or eternally

Love only changes
In order to survive
Giving life the time it needs
To keep the dream alive

A wonderful poem you have written maam. A true testament of the undying nature of love.--Russ

Oh don't give up on love - for true love knows no boundaries - it's a small world these days - you're only hours apart - I had a crusty old teacher in grammar school who used to say "where there's a will there's a way. " she'd be very happy to know that I remember that above all else I learned in grammar school lol. But it's the truth, maybe that's why I remembered it.
Sharon - beautiful poem - but don't give up, he obviously loves you and you him. I feel it's safe to say that every romantic on this site is cheering for you two to get together.

hugs
merry

Oh LovingWhispers
Let the Great Spirit of Love whisper in your ear.
"Short absence makes a heart grown more fond.
Long absence can kill love......but remember that's only if you don't intervene.....please try again... if no other reason than know you did!
and you can look back and say....I tried, but no go!
lovingcritters
Connie Sue
We are all rooting for you two!

I let distance get in the way of what could of been the best relationship I had ever had. Now I regret it every day, wishing I had of given our love a chance, but he doesn't want anything to do with me anymore and I can see why. Don't give up for love will find a way

Awww...I am the last one to comment dagnammit, but I need to say this. That 1300
miles didn't keep me from making that leap into the unknown "relationship". I didn't give up,and nor should you. Once two spirits connect, they can never be severed, not even by distance. The best of luck to you in your leap. :-)
Beautifully expressed words you have here!
Angel always...godspeed...joni
