And soon you will have no cares, nothing to hold on to,
You can just go. Run away. Run away from all of your boredom.
What’s now holding me back? You’re the one.

You’re the one, who makes me feel much taller than I am,
You’re the one who told me to go.
I’m just a slave been working for far too long.
What’s another couple of years working and now there’s nothing left to lose,

But I have to choose should I stay with you? Should I go?
Be free. I’ve been incarcerated too long and that life’s not for me.
Now I need to be where I’m not wanted or needed.
On the road I have a reason to be. I’m not staying in this circus.

The life is getting sucked out of my head,
It feels like I’m going to explode, all over the floor
I can’t stand this pain, swelling and brewing inside of me
What choices do I have left? Go? Stay? Or end it now.

For all the pain that calls my name
And for all the pills that wash it away,
They tell me what to say, I need that numbness here in me.
Not in control, not caring a bit, not giving a damn. Finally free.

I won’t let you control me; I won’t let you control me.
I won’t let you control me; I won’t let you control me! Get out of my head
No rules or restrictions, no gates or boundaries
I will not be a slave to the system. I will be free.
