Two Different Shores

Contributed by LovingWhispers on Friday, 19th September 2003 @ 01:05:00 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

I felt I needed to find a place where
I could hide from all this pain
So I welcomed the arrival of the thunderstorm and
Walked out in it's rain
I wandered through the streets that
Surround my home here on the coast
My body numb from freezing winds
I felt as lifeless as a ghost
I walked towards my favourite place
Where I go to clear my mind
Of all the worries of my life
In hope of answers I may find
I sit there on the rocky point
With the rain falling hard on me
It's then I cried the many tears
That desperately needed to be free
Some were happy,some were sad
Most were just because...
I live here,you live there
The same heart on 2 different shores...

A very moving write. I also love thunderstorms and rain....somehow they help to cleanse the soul.
Thank you for your kind words on my work.
Sharon;)

I cant say it's beautiful, because it fills me with too much heartache. I'll just hand you a rose in silence and blow a kiss into the wind.

You poor dear Whispers,
You poem touched my heart, but I'm afraid of water, so that part I can't relate to, but I know when someone's heart is breaking in two and I wish for you much peace in the rain or whereever you may be.
I send loving thoughts and warm hugs
lovingcritters
Connie
Your poem was so heartfelt!
and sincere!

This one is a heartbreaker - so sad. Hope you find all the answers you are looking for.
You have a wonderful ability to express your feelings in words, a true gift.
