I was wondering how all the birds must be feeling when some keep them as pets. [bodytext] => Caught in a cage,

I have come to a new place,
where there are different funny face.

Every body trying to talk,
I don't understand what.
Trying to be friendly,
and touching me tenderly.

Iam alone and scared,
never had anybody who cared.
They took me away when I was young,
I had nobody to snuggle.

Now I am in this new house,
I've no choice but be their espouse.
I wanna be free and fly so high,
so that no one can ever pass me by.

Caught in a cage,
and having a very bad phase.
I have come to a new place,
where there are different funny face.

Every body trying to talk,
I don't understand what.

I dont believe in caging birds..they are given wings for a reason.Even fish should not be kept in aquariums(my opinion)
I have birds...many birds..Kookaburras,crows,magpies,lorikeets,wrens,cockatoos etc..but they are not caged,,They are free to come and go as they please.And they always return..for they know I am only wanting to be their friend..not their master. And also because they love to be fed lol.
Its good that you stopped for a moment and gave this some thought.All creatures should be free :)

well guess it all also depends on how well everyone takes care of the birds that they bring home as pets, Anyway this is a very wonderful and thoughtful poem, waiting to read many many more of your lovely poems:)

Well, if this is how my b/f's parents' parrot feels, he sure gets back at everybody by NEVER SHUTTING UP!! lol... great poem, very thoughtful of you. I'm sure Prince appreciates it. Have you read it to him? :) Maybe you can get him to recite all of it!!!! LOL that would be awesome!! He could guilt trip everybody... hehehe...

I've had parakeets and cockateils and they were always free. I had one that went in and out of his cage all by himself. He would lift the door and slide in and out. What a little character he was! I miss Danny to this day. Enjoy your bird...you just wrote a very warm nd loving poem. I enjoyed it very much!

This Poem sounds as if the parrot himself was talking. If that cud understand english, sure wud wanna see how it wud've felt after reading this. Great thoughts yu've got Iveeee!!! Keep em coming
