I know of some things more than thee,
I had more time to look and see,
In movies, art and liberty.

Things that you could not have seen,
Occurred before you were a teen,
I hereby list a magazine
of things I know and where I've been.

Lou Costello ran bordello,
Lewis and Clark made their mark
As supermane and Lois Lane
Rowen and Martin wore a tartan.

Georgie Porgie hated puddin'
Pie and greens, the mud he stood in
Mister Moto and Charlie Chan
Ran a laundry without a fan

I saw Lake Hurst not much after
The Hindenberg met disaster,
I'll yell you more as time goes by,
I'll have to write it on the fly.

Douglas Fairbanks ran Alaska,
Wrote a poem a tiska taska
Just a few things that I know,
'cause I was born before you, Joe. [comments] => 11 [counter] => 223 [topic] => 7 [informant] => norm [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 4 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => HumorPoetry )

You are right Norm that was very teachy
And since I don't know your age, I will play "reachy" (conword)
I remember all of this
But since my name ain't Joe....
Guess it won't matter if I show
my very high intelligencio!
That was a good poem Norm.....
The days were slower, and the race was lower.
Kids minded thier parents, and if they didn't they were beaten half to death.....'er atleast some of them were!
Dogs didn't bark all night, and the pace so slow even your cats had time to purr!
My grandma raised 10 ,
and I only had three.......she said I worked harder for my three than she ever did her 10...
because the whole family worked then!
Yes, those were the days to remember.....
nothing close to 9/11 September.!
Loved reading your poem, have to print it out and see,
Who I can send it to, to reiminiese with me?

You know stuff and that's something
I don't know stuff, that too is something
"The only thing I know, is that I know nothing"
Knowing and learning, are not the same thing.

You may know more than I
Your knowledge is more than meet the eye
That means I'll have more fun than thee
Learning about all I can see.

You too can discover, always new stuff
DATA you store, you've never enough
A wise person like me who was born late
Will fish out your infos by throwing you bait.
