let my memory be
in the glory of the garden
by a tall chestnut tree

Like the wind that echoes
place for all to see
a prayer to the God
that sets my spirit free

Weeping is for children
none of this for me
just a bush of roses
planted by the tree

Mother hold me close
let the last day be
a honor to our friendship
set next to me until I'm free

When I have gone to heaven
listen for me
I will talk to you
in the wind in the tree

Mother mother wipe my forehead
say a short prayer with me
as God takes my spirit
at last from pain I will be free. [comments] => 3 [counter] => 169 [topic] => 38 [informant] => walt [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 3 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Tributes )

Theres a sadness in this and yet I found it very peaceful
"Mother hold me close
let the last day be
a honor to our friendship
set next to me until I'm free "
Really like this verse
