I guess not... [bodytext] => Whatever happened to fighting fair?
Instead you come at me as a pair.
Between you two, I can't even speak.
Our constant battles leave me weak.

I wake up each morn,
only to find peace forlorn.
Yet peace at mind I do recieve.
But only when for school I leave.

Once I get home, it starts again.
I'm tired now. I won't defend.
Then you yell for my silence.
Even then, I remain quiet.

You wonder why I am so beat down.
You don't even suspect you're beating me into the ground.
You tell me you wish I would try to grin.
But when I can't, you begin again.

You tell me I am an ungrateful child.
That I'm untamed, insane, crazy, and wild.
That I need to get a grip.
And get off this pity trip.

But maybe its you that needs the grip.
And get off your horrible power trip.
As for me, I'm not completely tamed or sane.
But now,I've got only you two to blame.

So back off.
Lay off.
Calm down.
I've had enough of a taste of the ground.

Maybe then we can talk.
and then maybe neither will mock.
If you ask me, I've about had enough.
I may be strong, but not THAT tough.

I need a break, as do you.
Then the peace will be true.
So give it up. neither will win.
I don't want to begin again.

Because fighting two on one
needs to be stopped before its begun.
Then I'll be able to speak.
And our time together won't leave me so weak. [comments] => 1 [counter] => 222 [topic] => 21 [informant] => Elf [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Lifepoems )

I know what you mean... I feel your pain. It's horrible when the ones who love us (You know they do, deep inside) hurt us. It's a terrible thing. But then there's always that peace that God will give. And you can always talk to friends. Have hope for tomorrow. Remember that your parents have problems too. Sometimes, they're just as scared about the future as you can be. It's really hard to admit you're wrong, especially for an adult, so give them time.
God bless you. I'll pray for you.
David
