[time] => 2003-09-11 15:05:00 [hometext] => It has been a long time since i have written and posted here, but i am still dealing with that which haunted me then. I am drowning in my confusion. [bodytext] => Nearly two years passed
Pain still fresh
Scabs of betrayal by my own father
My soul still aches
This battle ongoing
The world unaware
Has your evil subsided
Pity fills me each time I see your face
Or perhaps it is me I see
Falling from grace
Failure pursues me
An ever-longing stride
I dawdle struggling against the sin of your filth that already weighs me down
Am I doomed to fail in life
Simply pass into the numbers of forgotten potential
1,300 miles separate our skin
Still each day you steal from within
The scars resurface
Freshly torn apart
Two precious angels live in your shadow
Sisters of mine
Young and innocent
Will you betray and scar them also
Forever unsure and scared is my heart
Dare I pull my family apart
I hate what you did
Despise mom’s forgiveness
Abhor my own weakness
And loathe the worlds ignorance
Must I be the one to decide
What if I am too late
And one of them knows Daddy’s love
Who then should they hate?

Wow.... written like a pro, pain felt deep. I don't know you or what happened, but God'll pull you out in His own way.... Chin up- keep writing, I loved the poem.

Love Joy and Peace,
Jellybellyprincess

Avery, I know how deep your pain is..and I know you are still struggling with this, but I think you're doing great...and writing about it is good...
Hugs

a poem can only tell you so much and the rest you have to infer upon. what ive taken is that you take what your fathers done to heart. your father is a person and makes mistakes, and many mistakes are unforgivable, and i guess you feel this is one of them. your father does have an influence on your life, so take that influence and prosper from it. you can learn what things such as hes done can do to a life, and avoid them. once youve hit rock bottom the only place to go is up.

wow, this is ... beautiful.
(i wish there was a better word for things like that.)

but really, pain always makes for the best inspiration. or any good, deep feelings- and pain is always guaranteed to cut deep.

and you, expressed this wonderfully.
