was it black magic or something trajic
that made you hurt me so-
made you destroy this peaceful child?
was it your dark pagan heart
or your bipolar mind
that left me behind
when i needed you most?
cold and lonely every night
when you came home
my throat was held tight
and you laughed at me
while i cried through the night
in the morning, shivering, asking for a hug
so i can pretend this is love
as if my heart had enough
to leave us both fulfilled
now i know better
my heart can heal nothing
it can only leave me empty
while you are greedily feeding on a new soul...
was it a dark magic ritual
or a psychotic act of hate?
doesn't really matter
because my blood raging with fury
is all i have left... [comments] => 6 [counter] => 173 [topic] => 48 [informant] => karoody [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )

Great, but tragic poem.So much hatred and pain placed in every word. I truly hope that peace and serenity finds its way into your heart and soul. Wondreful work. Keep writing.

I haven't experienced abuse, well not from someone I love and care for anyhow, but I have grown up seeing my mum emotionally abused, and I know that it is an awful thing for anyone to go through, physical or emotional. Anyhow, a great write, so sad and powerful
