Jump in a 'Cat' and catch you some bass.. [bodytext] => I went to the boats, the weather was fine,
A twenty foot 'cat', the best in the line,
I hoisted the sail, a 'cat' has no jib,
The wind took ahold, she'll tickle your rib.

For those who've not felt, the pull of the boom,
As the wind pushes sail the extent of the zoom,
The tiller responds with a pressure intense,
The thrill of it all is a feeling immense.

On, takes the 'cat', a life of it's own,
the whine in the sail sounds just like a moan,
And all of this time, she's picking up speed,
Seven knots to the hour is all that you need.

There is to consider the matter of tide,
In front or behind will sure change the ride,
Don't sail the 'cat' into tide of eight knots,
The boat can't go forward, you'll try til it rots.

Barnacles stop the 'cat' running 'hot',
Don't race without cleaning the belly a lot,
And all of this time, the wind's from behind,
Not ALL of the time, I wish to remind.

Norm Turkel do you mean to say,
That you go sailing on any given day?
Why if I was Shirl the Pearl I'd tie you to your bedpost!
You shouldn't be out their in the winds acting like a Ghost!
You'll not only catch your death of cold
But you'll turn that cat over and then who will be bold,
enough to come get ole Norm?
I can't stand the thought, it makes me forlorn!
Surely did enjoy you your little jaunt!
Wonderful poem Norm....only you could do a "cat" Squawt!!!
