I sing the joy of victory won this day at San Jacinto.
General Sam Houston and his men defeated a large armed force.
Mexicans were defeated at this run by a "rudimento".
They did not watch for Texans who could attack now from a new course.
Travis and friends are finally now repaid for their well spent lives.
Soldiers did fall defending a brick town structure fore help arrives.

A little history never hurt anyone. I'd like to say it is well written. The rhymes are a bit off, first 4S are alternated and the last two together. It made the prose a bit choppy. My only regret you didn't make this longer is the referrence to Travis and friends being repaid. Is their payment that Texas is a state? Perhaps my lack of Texas history makes it hard to grasp. Thanks for sharing.
