begins to form
outside my head
from my heart
to my bed.

Lightening bolts
give me jolts
across the field
through the woods
past my shield.

Darkened clouds
heavy and proud
like the pain
in my chest
nothing sustains.

Cold wet rain
bound in chains
gossamer light sheets
dripping down thighs
lost in defeat.

Billowing wind
where do I send
the fallen leaves
that summer left
where do I cleave?

Impending darkness
assaulted starkness
enters my heart
chains me in bed
stolen from the start.

Whirlpool of heat
where can we meet
to quench the thirst
I'll not die
before I burst.

Save me before the winter comes
before I come all undone
rush to the side
save my soul
from the tide. [comments] => 7 [counter] => 156 [topic] => 48 [informant] => jaeann [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )
