Array ( [sid] => 22443 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => Mother...This Poem is for you [time] => 2003-08-28 18:25:00 [hometext] => This is a poem that I wrote of course for my Mother that has been my light of life and I gave this to her for her birthday...she loved it...hope you do to and please comment! [bodytext] => When I was a child I remember you…
Tenderly holding my hand
As we walk side by side.
Tucking me in at night,
After reading my a story.
Bringing me tea and tissues,
To soothe any sickness I had.
As a teen I remember you…
Holding me in the hallway,
As I bawl over an ex-boyfriend.
Shopping for my First Prom,
And finding the best dress.
Crying while watching movies,
About horses that really don’t talk.
Now as an adult.
I’ll hope to remember you doing these things before I die.
Crying,
As I go off to college.
Reading,
My first book of published Poetry.
Being there,
When I marry the man of my dreams.
While remembering the past and trying to know the future.
Right now I know…
I would die without you.
The sun would fall out of the sky.
The stars would not shine.
I’d cry enough to drown myself.

You mean the world to me.
When no one else was around,
You held me as I cried.
You loved me through all my stages that I keep on hitting.

I love you more then you even know.
Thank-you for loving me.

Kirby, this is a very touching poem, one I'm sure your Mom would always cherish.
Good work.
