There is something so compelling
Spending hour after hour
In silent commentary communion
Where truth is invented or revealed
From East, West, North, and South
A truth for one is lie for the other
At the center of this controversy
There is much laughter and debauchery
Until the lights go out and we close our eyes
Waking without knowing anymore than I did before
Just an image captured in the corner of my eye
Catches you scowling in my direction
If I could I would give you truth,
But alas I have none to give
I am made of lies and dishonesty
Accumulated through the years
Neatly cataloged and stored for easy reference
My version of the truth – is the same as your version
Truth pertains to only one

this does'nt rhyme, there is'nt anything particularly interesting in the phrasing of it, it does'nt say anything, it does'nt do anything, it does'nt express anything, are you sure it's a poem, but hey, at least you are merry, smiles, paul
