You can post your poems and never give,
I fully agree, it's the place to be,
Somewhere under the Yum-Yum Tree.

But suppose you woke up on a morning quite bright
The poetry gone and also the site,
Ol' Mick can't support like governments' lend
With deficit spending, with never an end.

Ol' Mick, he's a gent, he's reluctant to vent
to say to the poets, so where is the rent?
But I ain't no gent, nor I heaven sent
We've got to come up with some dough before lent.

A donation of five be they dollar or pound
or whatever is called the money around
Once a year, send to Mick so that we can list
The poems that you write before Mick becomes p***ed.

Don't tell me your troubles, I don't give a care,
You can live on love, that's your affair,
You live in a world where expense is the king
And must be paid before most everything [comments] => 12 [counter] => 194 [topic] => 19 [informant] => norm [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 14 [ratings] => 3 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => InspirationalPoems )

Dear Norm,
I'm so glad you made clear
what I heard in my ear.
for if I awoke some morn
and my poet friends were gone,
I know I'd spill more than one tear!
I plan to send a small amount
regularly...
Afterall, I'm not spending it on movies,
of booze, or dope or pills...
I go to Mick's sight to heal all my ills!
So please rally round all you poets so fine...
Please send some money to help Mick for his time....throw in an extra buck or two...for his little kids....They will thank you too!
lovingcritters

Thank you, Norm..It's really great to see
People responding to this plea.
I have been trying for almost three years,
To get poets on this site to show they care.

I have made several donation to this site,
It pleases me now to see Donor's names tonight.
So whatever you did to get them to donate,
I say, Hats Off to you, you are great!

Jenni

I appreciate this site and all the hard work and unfortunately that wont keep it up. I was going to donate but I won't be able to at this time. I was in an automobile accident and just now able to return to this site. As soon as I return to work or whatever ( they say I might not be able to go back) I will donate. I feel bad about not being able to donate at this time. But I will donate because this site is worth it.

A million I'd give if I had in my pocket
For this beautiful site is worth a rocket
I'm not rich but I agree
Expenses is Life's tragedy.

Five bucks sounds a fair affair
At least hearing it doesn't make you fall off the stair
Let's help before the site falls in despair
Come on other poets I know you care
Every Matthew and every Claire
Who have some bucks to spare
Yes yes just put it there...

The donation friend is already sent
And it is money very well spent
So I think cause I love this site
And I hope the others might
Pitch in a dollar or two
So all of us are not so blue
