Sickening perspiration of a guilt-ridden child,
Falls from a trembling chin,
Quivering for the pain that conceals all,
Delivered unto this filthy hand,
With which I write this worthless rant,
As it fights to resist the irresistable,
Sweet temptation, a glistening blade,
Nothing can silence the irreplaceable urge,
Red, so telling, visions int he blood,
Remind, oh god, remind me of the time,
The restless inner truth,lies diseased,
And dying, slowly, but it is still there,
A glimmer of life, of hope maybe,
But no, just false compensation,
Stolen mutterings of a distant fantasy,
There is no longer the lingering desire to repent,
Just the bitter, bitter acceptance. [comments] => 5 [counter] => 152 [topic] => 48 [informant] => crimson_purity [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )

I laughed at your comment, but after reading it over three times i wasn't laughing just staring wide-eyed wondering where you got the inspiration to write this masterpiece. This was great and the imagery... I lack the word to describe it... vivid... Wow I'm stunned... I feel like hugging some people...

"There is no longer the lingering desire to repent,
Just the bitter, bitter acceptance."
What an important line, very real and tangible. Excellent piece, I am looking forward to more.
