Array ( [sid] => 22308 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => Woman Begets Man [time] => 2003-08-24 21:25:00 [hometext] => for the saying that a woman is behind every man`s success, and the role that my mother had played for my success, I have given the credit to my mother. the words in the poem do really belong to the appreciation of each and every mother on earth. the actual credit goes to the role played by every woman. go through the poem more than once and you will definitely realize the effort taken by all mothers on earth. the organisation at Poetry Plaza, Maryland, USA has so far published twenty of my poems in the site 'poetry.com'. This is one of them. but now they have removed the names of India and Pakistan from their address list and hence I cannot post the poem by giving my address in India. Although I post the poem it does not appear in my coloumn. [bodytext] => On birth, the boy crawls upon mother`s lap
Having grown up the wife gets the tap
Mother was a carriage even for a nap
After marriage mother feels a long gap

She bears him in her womb for a time
Tends him on all bearing even the slime
Moulds him with virtues to become the prime
Even protects him from the shadows of crime

She lays the foundation for an edifice
Starts the process, even when he is a novice
Glides him in a path without an orifice
Sees that he doesn`t stand in a precipice

This edifice if strong grows by itself
Times when a wife also eliminates the elf
Who plays her role as the better half
Also making a man realize his self

Aptitude is to make a man grow further
Aim is to make his inner instinct gather
But for their roles it is apt to say, rather
That “ A Woman behind a Man is a MOTHER”
